With a painted white body decorated with gold leaves, our Gold Leaf Kyusu is an elegant Tokoname teapot made by the Shouhou Kiln. This small kyusu is best suited for higher end teas such as gyokuro or shincha, but can be used for all teas. It has a built-in clay strainer which requires more skill to attach and is best suited for lighter steamed styles of Japanese green teas. Care Instructions: As this is made from unglazed clay, please dry well after use and avoid leaving tea leaves in the pot overnight to prevent mold. Avoid the use of soap or detergents, as they may soak into the clay. Do not put in the dishwasher or microwave.
