Origin:Shizuoka, Japan

Description

Many companies use late summer bancha green tea to make hojicha, but our Hojicha is made using a higher grade of Kukicha from earlier harvests. We use a high-temperature roasting process to turn this tea a rich toasty brown, bringing out a rich aroma and flavor. Sugimoto's favorite Hojicha has a natural sweetness and a body-warming, roasted aroma, making this is a lovely, very low-caffeine evening treat that can be steeped multiple times. Packaged in a resealable foil pouch, your tea will be kept fresh for months of daily enjoyment.

I love this tea

This tea has made my list of favourite teas. I had heard of hocjicha and I always wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. I love the aroma and flavours with every sip. I definitely want to order more of this tea.

Absolute favorite!

This tea is incredibly comforting. Mildly sweet with a rich bark taste to it. Love the roasted aftertaste. I am an avid tea drinker, Hojicha is by far my favorite tea.

Epic

The company as a whole is wonderful. The website is great and has so many helpful tips throughout it and the products all have in-depth instructions/descriptions with each one. The products have all been fantastic as well, not mention the gifts and notes or recipe books they also give you to help better your experience

Excellent

The tea from Sugimoto Tea is consistently of great quality. I have had zero issues with the products I have purchased with their trademark on it. It has been my experience that tea from US grocery stores is always stale or old with a distinct mildew taste. Not the case with this tea. It has a slight sweetness and coffee-like flavor and brews the same way each and every time. Really my favorite tea.
