Kukicha is a type of Japanese green tea crafted from the tender stems selected during the sencha refining process. These stems are valued for the distinct character they bring to the cup, offering a softer expression of green tea that differs from leaf-focused styles.

When brewed, this Kukicha reveals a gentle sweetness and subtle umami, accompanied by a light, floral aroma. Its calm, balanced profile makes it an ideal tea for unhurried moments, particularly in the afternoon or evening

For ease and consistency, this tea is offered in convenient pyramid sachet tea bags, designed to give the leaves ample room to unfurl while brewing. Each sachet is made from plant-based Soilon®, a biodegradable material.

Each pouch contains 20 compostable sachets, individually sized for a 12 oz cup, and packaged in a resealable foil pouch to preserve freshness for daily enjoyment.

About the New Packaging
The central motif of our new packaging is the mizuhiki knot. Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese decorative cord, used to mark moments of gratitude, respect, and connection. On our packaging, it serves as a quiet symbol of these values.

To us, the mizuhiki represents the relationships that shape our tea, from the growers who cultivate the leaves, to our own team who carefully finish and pack them, and ultimately to those who enjoy them.
