Origin:Japan

Description

The blooming of cherry blossoms called "sakura" across Japan marks the end of winter and the coming of warm weather and merriment. Our Sakura Sencha is a delightful blend of sencha and real Japanese sakura blossoms and leaves, which gives it a more flavorful and aromatic experience than just including the blossoms alone. The sweet taste and the aroma of sakura compliment the smooth, rich taste of the sencha and is reminiscent of Sakura Mochi, a traditional springtime treat. Enjoy the taste of eternal spring with this blend of traditional Japanese favorites.

A Cherry Orchard in a Teacup

When I was a kid, I worked in the cherry orchards of Northwestern Montana, where the orchards surrounded a beautiful clear alpine lake. People cherished their orchards and grew their trees on grassy fields bordered with wildflowers and forest. Every spring, when the cherry trees bloomed and the petals drifted down, people would spend time in the orchards enjoying the beauty and the fragrance. This tea *is* that fragrance. It transports me back to the idyllic days of my youth. Thank you so much for this tea! By the way, I recommend sticking with a one-minute brew: any longer and the flavor of the tea tends to overtake the flower fragrance.

Sakura Sencha

The Sakura Sencha is by far my favorite blend of Sencha. The mellowness of the tea perfectly fits with my morning schedule. I enjoy it both warm and cold.
