Hojicha is a type of Japanese green tea that undergoes a high temperature roasting process. This brings out brisk and earthy flavors that remind you of chocolate along with a robust, comforting aroma. Hojicha lattes are popular and widely available at Japanese cafes, and now you can enjoy them from the comfort of your home! Best of all, they’re easy to prepare and delicious sipped hot or iced.

My favorite tea mix!

I buy this at my local Japanese grocery store in the US and it is my absolute favorite tea latte mix. I use a lot of different types of milk tea powders, but this one tastes the best. Most tea mixes can usually only be prepared hot, and can taste a little weird when prepared cold. This however, is AMAZING both ways. This also makes it very easy to have a dairy-free drink option, since other mixes have milk powder in it already. I recommend soymilk or oatmilk with this, since the flavor of hojicha is very earthy and a little oat-y. If matcha is a little too strong (both flavor and caffeine-wise) for you, I highly recommend this!
