Origin:Shizuoka, Japan
$32.00

Description

Bancha is made from leaves harvested in the late summer, which are large and thick. It offers a light and refreshing taste with a hint of a bite. Compared to earlier harvested teas such as sencha fukamushi, bancha has a more robust flavor and vivid yellow color. Leaves harvested in the late summer receive more sunlight and thus contain more catechins. Bancha is one of the teas most often roasted to create hojicha. Make your own hojicha at home with our bancha using a Houroku (Tea Roasting Pot).

Try It You Might Like It

Sugimoto Tea has the best Bancha tea I’ve tasted. And I’ve tasted a few. Because Sugimoto does not cut Bancha, it roasts to perfection. It is such a delight to have this tea in the morning. Try it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Absolutely Delicious

Great for Kombucha
