Bancha Sample

Origin:Shizuoka, Japan

This is a sample (20g).

Bancha is made from leaves harvested in the late summer, which are large and thick. It offers a light and refreshing taste with a hint of a bite. Compared to earlier harvested teas such as sencha fukamushi, bancha has a more robust flavor and vivid yellow color. Leaves harvested in the late summer receive more sunlight and thus contain more catechins. Bancha is one of the teas most often roasted to create hojicha. Make your own hojicha at home with our bancha using a Houroku (Tea Roasting Pot).

Very nice everyday Tea

I enjoyed this tea, it was my first time trying Bancha. Subtle yet present vegetal notes as well as slightly earthy and woody but not in an unpleasant way. I felt it was a balanced and refreshing green tea unique to itself.
