Description

Formal bamboo whisk made from shirotake (white bamboo) for the Yabunouchi school (藪内流). The prongs are round all the way from base to tip. The chasen for the Yabunouchi school is traditionally made from small bamboo, and its prongs number about the same as Kazuho (approx. 70 prongs) of the Urasenke school.

This chasen is crafted by Komakichi Kubo and his family. Please note that each item is exquisitely hand-crafted and unique so the shipped pieces may not exactly match the photo. This item comes in an original paper box from Komakichi.
